Rekha Shetty is Managing Director of Farstar Distribution Network, a unique consultancy company devoted exclusively to innovation and creativity and human intelligence. As a member of the Syndicate of 200 year old Anna University, she helped introduce a 40 hour course on Thinking and Innovation for graduate engineers.
She founded ACE (Academy for Creative Education), which trains individuals in a unique 4 module process, called 4 ACE in MINDSPOWER. A person who has completes the 4 ACEs is the mental equivalent of a Black Belt in Karate.
She has devoted the last 20 years to the study of Mind and Intelligence. Those who have worked with her have achieved levels of success that they otherwise thought impossible
She began her career after a brilliant track record of two university ranks, at the United India Insurance where she redefined insurance advertising. Subsequently, at Southern Petrochemical industries Limited (SPIC), her work on Financial Advertising was a landmark. In her assignment as the Group Vice President of Apollo Hospitals, she pioneered the concept of health marketing and health insurance. She has travelled widely all over the world and is known as “The Corporate Doctor” (so christened by Hindustan Times). she has left lucrative positions to pursue creativity and human intelligence for posterity.
As Managing Director of Farstar, she advises blue chip companies on innovation and creativity. Positive health for companies and people has always been her concern. A high profile, energetic personality with lofty ideals and a dedication to the subject of ‘Creativity’, she has worked with world class organisations in US and U.K.
For over one and a half decades she has focused on Creativity in Management which has led her to meet internationally acclaimed Management Pundits like Edward De Bono and George Prince.
She acquired several creativity tools and techniques used by creative gurus the world over, which she now shares with her lab participants. Till date, Rekha Shetty has conducted over 500 creativity labs.
She visited USA as part of an expert team from ten countries to study the problem of Drug Addiction. She was honoured with the “Outstanding Young Person” in 1985 by Jaycees. She was on the Advisory Committee of Pondichery Ashram.
She is one of the first women to be a Rotary District Governor. She is a member of the Syndicate of 200 year old Anna University. She is a professor of professors on the subject of Creativity and Innovation and human intelligence.
